With the word of the end coming to most of the major European leagues,
football fans around the world are still waiting for the last and most important scene in the old continent, to decide the fate of the 67th edition of the European Champions League.
Liverpool, the long-standing champion in the Champions League with 6 historical titles, will wrestle with the giant of this tournament and its usual champion, Real Madrid, who has 13 trophies, on May 28 at the Stade de France in the French capital, Paris.
The two teams have technical weapons that are undisputed among the best in Europe, whether players or technical equipment, but throughout the history of the final matches of this competition, other factors had a significant impact on the title track.
One of these factors is closely related to the Spanish clubs, which is the ability to win the title in more than 90 minutes, especially if the match extends to extra time (without reaching the penalty shootout).
Over the course of the previous 66 finals for the same ears, the two opponents went to extra time on 5 different occasions, of which the Spanish clubs participated in 3 of them.
Atlético Madrid lost to Bayern Munich in 1974 (in a rematch after they tied the first time 1-1), so Bayern decided the match with four clean points in extra time, while Real Madrid won two titles after the extension, we review them in the next lines.
